Polar Lights 1/350 Klingon K'Tinga
This will be one heck of a build. This is the new Polar Lights Klingon K'Tinga Battle Cruiser initially seen in Star Trek the Motion Picture offered by Polar Lights. AMT had originally released a version of this in 1/537 in the late 1970's along with the release of the Movie and then subsequently for Star Trek 6 (Kronos 1). The AMT Kit had the same basic shape as the Studio Model but was a very poor match to what was shown on screen. If you wanted to do a proper build of the AMT Kit there were replacement parts but you ended up spending a lot of cash to get there.
Polar Lights really hit the nail on the head with this release. There are a few warping that will need addressing seen in some kits but this issue is not wide spread. The Detail is amazing and you really feel like it's truly a 1/2 Studio Scale Kit as it says on the Box Art. Additionally there is a Lighting Kit that also includes optional red tinted clear parts and photo etch detail pieces for the windows.
I will be Lighting this kit and including sounds for the torpedo firing sequence. This will be done with a SFX Board from adafruit.com and 1 to 2 Arduino Boards. My Intention is to have this powered off of a AA Battery Pack in a customer wood base. The sound and Arduino will be in the Base, the Ship will detach from the stand using Head Phone Jack Component Parts.
